§ 212-17.   Parking areas.

   A.   Automobile parking facilities shall be provided off-street in accordance with requirements of Chapter 255, Zoning, and this chapter.
   B.   At no time shall angle or perpendicular parking along the curbs of local, public or private access roads or be permitted. All parking lots and bays allowing any parking other than parallel shall be physically separated from the by a minimum of seven feet and confined by barrier curbing.
   C.   No one area for off-street parking of motor vehicles, defined as the bounded by planting strips, within or adjacent to residential shall exceed 36 cars in capacity. Separate parking areas on a parcel shall be physically separated from one another by ten- foot planting strips. [Amended 6-14-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1240]
   D.   No less than 20 feet of shall be provided between the curbline of any parking area and the outside wall of the . [Amended 6-14-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1240]
   E.   When common parking facilities are approved, subject to Chapter 255, side and/or rear parking requirements may be waived in order to establish unified and continuous parking areas. In such cases, access drives and sidewalks shall be so aligned as to maximize parking efficiency and minimize traffic congestion. Entrances and exits must have good visibility so that, both going in and coming out, drivers can see and cars can be seen. [Amended 6-14- 2011 by Ord. No. 11-1240]
   F.   A available for the parking of one motor vehicle shall be not less than 9 ½ feet in width and 19 feet in length, having an area not less than 180.5 square feet. The length of a may be reduced two feet, provided that a motor vehicle may overhang that distance into the landscape area. [Amended 2-13-1996 by Ord. No. 903; 9-14-1999 by Ord. No. 1005]
   G.   All dead-end parking lots shall be designed to provide sufficient backup area for the end stalls.
   H.   No less than a five-foot radius of curvature shall be permitted for all curblines in all parking areas.
   I.   Parking lot dimensions shall be no less than those listed in the following table:

*   The Township may require a minimum width of 10 feet in parking lots serving high volume/high turnover commercial facilities such as supermarkets or convenience stores.

   J.   Parking areas shall be constructed in accordance with the Standards. 10
