§ 212-4.   Word usage.

Unless otherwise expressly stated, the following terms shall, for the purpose of these regulations, have the meanings given herein:
   A.   Words used in the singular include the plural, and words in the plural include the singular.
   B.   The word “person,” “subdivider” or “owner” includes a corporation and a partnership as well as an individual.
   C.   The word “building” includes “structure” and shall be construed as if followed by the words “or part thereof.”
   D.   The word “street” includes “road,” “land,” “avenue,” and “highway” and shall mean the whole or any part thereof, and shall include “bridge” or “culvert,” “cartway,” “gutter,” “curb,” “sidewalks” and the whole legal width of the .
   E.   “Watercourse” includes a “drain,” “ditch” and “stream.”
   F.   The word “lot” includes “plot” and “parcel.”
   G.   The names of reviewing entities, such as the name of an advisory commission or a state agency, shall be construed as if followed by the words “or its successor.” [Added 6-14-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1240]
