The following permits are issued under Chapter 99, Excavations:
A. Before issuing a grading permit, the appropriate official of the Township shall collect a permit fee as follows:
(1) The permit fee for a subdivision and land development application shall be determined as follows:

Not more than 50 cubic yards | $30 |
More than 50 cubic yards and not more than 250 cubic yards | $35 |
More than 250 cubic yards and not more than 500 cubic yards | $40 |
More than 500 cubic yards and not more than 1,000 cubic yards | $45 |
More than 1,000 cubic yards | $50, plus $5 for each additional 1,000 cubic yards or portion thereof |
(2) The permit fee for an in-ground pool shall be $275, plus an inspection fee of $35 per half hour. [Amended 2-8-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1237]
(3) The permit fee for new homes or home additions greater than 400 square feet shall be $400, plus an inspection fee of $80. The permit fee for home additions of 400 square feet or less shall be $120 plus an inspection fee of $80. [Amended 2-8-2011 by Ord. No. 11- 1237; 5-13-2014 by Ord. No. 14-1289]
(4) The permit fee for miscellaneous construction items involving excavation shall be as follows:
(a) Patio–slab on grade or elevated–a fee of $150 for new construction and a fee of $100 for a replacement.
(b) Deck–open construction–a fee of $150 for new construction if the area of the deck is greater than 400 sq. ft., and a fee of $100 for new construction if the area of the deck is 400 sq. ft. or less. For a replacement deck with no patio or slab underneath, a grading permit is not necessary. If there is a patio or slab underneath or a change to the impervious coverage, the fee is $60. (c) Driveways–a fee of $150 if the area of the driveway is greater than 400 sq. ft. and a fee of $100 if the area of the driveway is 400 sq. ft. or less.
(d) Retaining walls–a fee of $150 if the height of the wall at any point is greater than 4 feet, and a fee of $100 if the height of the wall is less than 4 feet.
(e) Walkways and steps–there is no fee for new construction. For replacement walkways and steps, the fee is $60. [Amended 5-13-2014 by Ord. No. 14-1289]
(f) Raised gardens, beds, berms, diversions, mounding, and swales–a fee of $60, plus an inspection fee. [Amended 5-13-2014 by Ord. No. 14-1289]
(g) Detached garages–for detached garages with an area of 400 sq. ft. or less, a fee of $120 plus an inspection fee. For detached garages greater than 400 sq. ft., a fee of $300 plus an inspection fee. [Added 2-8-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1237; amended 5-13- 2014 by Ord. No. 14-1289]
