§ 69-2.   Prohibited acts.

It is hereby declared to be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, being an owner of any improved or unimproved lot, to permit or allow any of the following to occur on such lot, each of the following acts hereby being declared a public nuisance: [Amended 2-10-2015 by Ord. No. 15-1298]
   A.   Permit the lot to become overgrown with grass, weeds or noxious plants exceeding the height indicated in the BOCA Property Maintenance Code. 1  Those lots exceeding one acre in size may be permitted to remain in their natural state except for a depth of 25 feet around the perimeter thereof.  [Amended 1-10-1995 by Ord.    B.   Permit any hedge, shrub, bush or tree to obstruct normal passage along streets, lanes, highways or sidewalks or to impair vision at highway intersections whenever it is judged by the duly authorized Township enforcement authority that a hazardous condition exists.
   C.   Allow poison ivy, poison oak or honeysuckle to grow in trees.
   D.   Permit bamboo to be planted or grown on the lot, or to spread to an adjoining lot, it being the intent to prohibit bamboo within the Township, except as provided herein. Bamboo found growing on a property shall constitute presumptive evidence that bamboo was planted and/or grown by and/or with the consent of the bamboo owner. [Added 2-10-2015 by Ord. No. 15-1298]
