§ 70.01 STOP AND YIELD SIGNS.
   (A)   Authority. The Council, acting within the reasonable exercise of its police power, adopts the following regulations governing certain road and streets under its jurisdiction.
   (B)   Definitions. For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      TRAFFIC. Pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, street cars, vehicles and other conveyances either singly or together while using any highway for purpose of travel.
      VEHICLE. Every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway, except devices moved by human power or used exclusively upon stationary roads or tracks.
   (C)   Stop intersections. Traffic entering the intersections set forth in Ch. 72 of this traffic code shall stop in accordance with I.C. 9-21-1 before proceeding on the designated through street.
