§ 53.01 WRITE-OFF POLICY.
   (A)   The town hereby establishes a policy to write off accounts with the town’s Water and Sewage Utility and Sanitation that cannot be collected.
   (B)   The following policy exists when one or more of the following conditions exist:
      (1)   The delinquent account is at least 12 months past due;
      (2)   The delinquent account holder as filed bankruptcy;
      (3)   A lien has been filed against the sewage arrears; and
      (4)   The utility is unable to collect the delinquent account due to circumstances beyond the control of the utilities.
   (C)   A list of delinquent accounts for write-offs will be prepared by the Clerk-Treasurer and presented to the Council for approval at least once per calendar year, if applicable.
