The town’s Park Advisory Board shall consist of seven members appointed by the Town Council. Following the initial appointment, members shall be selected for a three-year term. Two initial members shall be selected to serve for a term of one year commencing 1-1-2014 and said members shall also serve for the remainder of the calendar year of 2013. Two initial members shall be elected to serve a two- year term from 1-1-2014 and shall also serve for the remainder of the calendar year of 2013. Two initial members shall be selected for a term of three years commencing 1-1-2014 and said members shall also serve for the remainder of the 2013 calendar year. The members shall serve without compensation and the Board shall meet monthly. All members are required to attend at least 75% of the meetings and, if they do not, they are subject to replacement by the Town Council. The members of the Board are not required to be residents of the town, but should be individuals that reside in the area and who are interested in and have knowledge of the parks located within the town.
