(a) In addition to any other sanction imposed upon an offender for violation of Codified Ordinance Chapter 678 entitled "Weapons and Explosives," the forfeiture of any property or instrumentality that is used or intended to be used in the commission of the offense of conviction shall be mandatory, consistent with the terms of Ohio R.C. Chapter 2981, as is now or may be hereafter enacted or amended.
(b) In all applicable cases, the City Prosecutor shall seek the mandatory forfeiture of any property or instrumentality that is used or intended to be used in the commission of the offense of conviction, and the municipal court shall order such forfeiture.
