(a) With respect to uses permitted in Chapters 1260, 1262 and 1264, required off-street parking shall be provided as required by this chapter, but in no event shall land in District U-6, Office Building District, District U-7, Local Retail District, or U-8, Shopping Center District, be used for the purpose of parking a motor vehicle except during the hours and on the days in which the business usage permitted in such district is taking place and in which the premises with which the required parking is associated is actually open for business or in operation.
(b) This section shall not apply to motor vehicles owned or leased by the owner of the business, any officer or employee thereof, or any member of an officer's or employee's family.
