Buildings and land shall be used and buildings shall be designed, erected, altered, moved or maintained in a University-College District only for the uses set forth in the following schedule:
(a) Main Buildings and Uses Permitted. Administrative offices, classrooms, auditoriums, commons, dormitories, assembly and dining facilities of universities, colleges and other institutions of higher learning.
(b) Similar Main Uses Permitted. Any other educational use not listed above and determined as "similar" by the recommendation of the Planning Commission and approval of Council.
(c) Accessory Buildings and Other Uses Permitted.
(1) Accessory uses as permitted in, and as regulated in the adjoining residential districts.
(2) Lunch rooms, book stores, lounges and social centers for students, faculty, officials and guests of the university or college and operated by or for the institution.
(3) Laundry, heating facilities.
(4) Recreation facilities, playgrounds, athletic fields and stadia or other spectator seating facility; gymnasium swimming pool.
(5) Parking garages and surface parking areas.
