In the event that a well is abandoned, the owner or lessee shall notify the Building Commissioner of such abandonment. The Commissioner shall then advise the City Engineer of such abandonment, and the City Engineer shall indicate such abandonment on the map which is in file in his or her office and which was provided at the time of the original application.
