808.04 LOCAL ALARMS.
   A permit for the installation of a local alarm which, when activated, sounds a horn, bell, buzzer or other type of audible alarm, shall be required if the sound created by the alarm is audible beyond the premise being served. The Director of Public Safety through his designated representative, the Building Commissioner, shall issue a permit for such alarm, provided the intensity of the sound does not exceed eighty-five decibels at any location outside the premises being served and further provided that the alarm is equipped with an automatic five minute cut-off device which deactivates the alarm noise within five minutes of the first noise emitted by the alarm.
