The Chief of Police or any police officer of the City shall seize, or direct to be seized, any instrument, device or thing used for the purpose of gambling, or the playing of any game of chance, or on, by or with which money or any other article of value may be lost or won. Every such instrument, device or thing shall be demolished or destroyed under the direction of the Chief upon its being adjudged by a court that the same was used, kept or intended for the purpose of gambling.
