238.03 DETECTIVE BUREAU.
   Within the Division of Police there shall be a Detective Bureau. Such Bureau shall be under the supervision of one or more of the officers of the Division, as are assigned thereto by the Chief of Police. The personnel of the Bureau shall consist of such members of the Division as may from time to time be assigned thereto by the Chief of Police. The Bureau shall carry out all criminal investigation work, make inquiries and investigation in relation to the public safety, apprehend criminals, and carry out such other duties as shall be assigned to it from time to time by the Chief of Police.
