§ 31.55 CITY EVENTS COORDINATOR.
   (A)   There is hereby created the position of City Events Coordinator.
   (B)   The qualifications for this position shall include, but not be limited to, professional training and experience in coordinating events and maximizing the use of city assets for the benefit of the citizens of Union, Kentucky.
   (C)   The Events Coordinator may be provided with assistance of such other persons as the legislative body directs and are provided for in the annual budget.
   (D)   The duties and responsibilities of this position shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
      (1)   Advise the executive authority of the city in developing events for the city, including, but limited to, the Union Towne Plan;
      (2)   Have major responsibilities for preparation and administration of grant applications;
      (3)   Manage, coordinate and have a continuing direct relationship with operating department heads on implementation and administration of development plans;
      (4)   To coordinate and manage the development of the city’s Firehouse/Community Center;
      (5)   Act as the liaison between the City Visioning Committee and all other governmental agencies; and
      (6)   The City Events Coordinator shall carry out all additional duties lawfully delegated by appropriate order of the executive authority.
   (E)   Compensation for this position shall be no greater than $15,000 per annum unless changed by a salary ordinance
