Pursuant to IC 36-7-9-3, the city hereby adopts state statute on enforcement of building standards found in IC 36-7-9-1 to 36-7-9-28. In the event that any portion of this chapter or Chapter 151 is in conflict with IC 36-7-9-1 to 36-7-9-28, the provisions of the state statute shall prevail. Action taken on behalf of the city by the persons appointed under this chapter shall comply with IC 36-7-9-1 to 36-7-9-28.
