§ 30.37 PRESIDING OFFICER.
   The Mayor shall preside at all meetings of the Common Council, but may vote only in order to break a tie. At its first regular meeting under IC 36-4-6-7, and each succeeding January, the Council shall choose from its members a President Pro Tempore to preside whenever the Mayor is absent.
