§ 30.20 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY ESTABLISHED.
   A Department of Public Safety is hereby established pursuant to IC 36-4-9-4(c)(4), which shall be controlled and managed by the Board of Public Works and Safety. The Department of Public Safety will supervise the control, maintenance and management of the Police and Fire Departments. The Department of Public Safety shall be supervised by the Director of Public Safety, who shall be an individual currently in the position of Chief of Police or Chief of the Fire Department.
