There is hereby established a Department of Public Works pursuant to IC 36-4-9-4(c)(3), which shall be controlled and managed by the Board of Public Works and Safety. The Department of Public Works shall supervise and control maintenance, management and repair of the city streets, parks and cemetery, as well as the drinking water and wastewater utilities. The Department of Public Works shall be supervised by the Director of Public Works.
