(A) City employees in the various departments of the city, under the jurisdiction of the executive branch of the city's government, shall be recommended by the department head to the Mayor for final approval.
(B) Any employee of the city who has been disciplined, suspended from employment, or had his employment terminated, may appeal such disciplinary action, suspension, or termination to the Board of Public Works and Safety in accordance with rules and regulations adopted by this Board.
