The city will provide street lighting in a standard street lighting style, as funds may be available and allocated in an approved annual budget. The city shall provide labor for the installation of street lighting at no expense to the owner, provided that the owner pays the cost of the fixtures and poles. These shall be installed in the city's standard poles with overhead wiring. If any property owners desire to have ornamental lighting in lieu of the standard lighting, they shall petition for such improvement to the Board of Public Works and Safety, and if such petition is granted, the property owners shall be required to pay the increased cost of materials.
