§ 78.02 INSPECTIONS.
   UTV Side by Side vehicles must be inspected annually with the City of Union City by the Union City Police Department to operate on city streets. Each UTV Side by Side owner must present a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), the make and model of the UTV Side by Side, provide their address and contact phone number, proof of insurance, and proof of registration through the Department of Natural Resources, and pay an inspection / processing fee in the sum of $50. The inspection fee shall be paid annually. A sticker shall be issued at the completion of the inspection. The inspection stickers are effective on January 1 and will expire on December 31 of each year. Each vehicle will be visibly inspected for compliance with all Indiana laws and the ordinances of the City of Union City. Inspections shall occur at the Union City Police Department. The inspection sticker provided by the Union City Police Department shall always be displayed prominently on the right rear of the vehicle while on city streets. All funds received from annual inspections shall be deposited into the General Fund for the City of Union City.
