ORDINANCE NO. 2019-07

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY

   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the 2019 S-23 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Union City which supplement contains all ordinances of a general nature enacted since the prior supplement to the Code of Ordinances of this municipality; and

   WHEREAS, the American Legal Publishing Corporation has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances which are based on or make references to sections of the Indiana Code; and

   WHEREAS, after review and approval by the City Attorney, it is the intent of the Council to accept these updated sections in accordance with the changes of the law of the State of Indiana; and

   WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the municipality and for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and general welfare of the municipality that this ordinance take effect at an early date;

   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Union City, State of Indiana, that the 2019 S-23 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Union City, as submitted by the American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, be and the same are hereby adopted by reference as if set out in their entirety. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after the date of passage.

   THIS ORDINANCE was duly passed in a regular session of the Common Council of the City of Union City, Indiana, on this 24th day of June, 2019.
