(a) Establishment. There is hereby established the office of volunteer part-time fire fighters and EMS personnel for the City, which office may be filled, from time to time, with as many persons in each capacity as the City Manager and the Fire Chief may find expedient.
(b) Appointment; Terms. The City Manager may, from time to time, appoint volunteer and part-time fire fighters and EMS personnel in such numbers, as above stated, to serve at the pleasure of the City Manager. Such officers may be removed at any time from office without a hearing and without cause being stated, upon notice from the City Manager.
(c) Bond. Volunteer and part-time fire fighters and EMS personnel of the City shall post the same bond as regular fire fighters of the City, the bond to be paid for by the City.
(d) Pension Fund; Rules and Regulations. Volunteer and part-time fire fighters shall be entitled to share in the Fire Relief and Pension Fund of the State as they are to be considered regular fire fighters of the City.
(e) Rules and Regulations. Rules and regulations not in conflict with this section may be promulgated from time to time by the City Manager and the Fire Chief, with the advice of City Council, and such rules and regulations shall be binding upon all volunteer and part-time fire fighters and EMS personnel.
