The Department of Fire shall perform the following duties in providing fire rescue services to the City:
(a) The Department of Fire shall be under the direction of the Fire Chief who shall be appointed by the City Manager and who shall perform duties as set forth in these Codified Ordinances and as directed by the City Manager.
(b) The Fire Chief shall be responsible for the administration of the Department of Fire and the Division of Emergency Medical Services (“EMS”) and coordination of activities therein. (Ord. 1095. Passed 3-24-97.)
