1312.04 PORTABLE STORAGE CONTAINERS.
   (a)   Portable storage containers such as PODS (Portable On Demand Storage), cargo containers, shipping containers or any kind of similar type of storage container shall be located in driveways outside the right of way.
 
   (b)   Portable storage containers, cargo containers, shipping containers or any kind of similar type of storage containers shall not remain on the property for more than thirty (30) days from the original date it is placed on the property. The City Manager, at his/her discretion, or the City Manager’s designee, at his/her discretion, may grant an extension of fifteen (15) days after the expiration of the original thirty (30) days period but in no event shall the portable storage container remain on the property more than forty-five (45) days from the date it is placed on the property.
 
   (c)   A permit fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) is required for each portable storage container, cargo container, shipping container or any kind of similar type of storage container.
 
   (d)   A permit may only be issued two times for any designated property within a period of three hundred sixty-five (365) days. For residential properties, the City Manager or his/her designee may grant an additional permit if the City Manager or his/her designee determines it would cause undue hardship for the owner or occupant of the residential property.
