(A) Any person desiring to be served by any City utility shall make application in writing with the City. The application must be signed by the applicant or by the applicant's duly-authorized agent. In the event that the applicant is not also the owner of the property to be served, the owner or the owner’s duly-authorized agent must also sign the application. Applications may be picked up at and submitted in person, by mail, or by telephone facsimile to the City’s Finance Department. All persons applying for utility service shall complete a utility service credit application.
(B) Applicants requesting solid waste services must either complete an application for solid waste service with the City, prepay the fees, or utilize the private contractor’s name for billing purposes.
(C) The minimum term for which service will be rendered is one (1) month or thirty (30) days. Any consumer taking service for less than this minimum term will be billed for not less than the minimum monthly charge specified under the applicable rate schedule.
(D) The City reserves the right to refuse to provide utility service to an applicant where the applicant has not made arrangement to assure payment, obtained required building permits, followed all applicable health and safety codes, and/or, where it is not feasible, economically or technically, for the City to provide a particular utility service.
