§ 9.04.010 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this Chapter:
   (A)   “Business” means a person engaging or offering to engage in a trade, a service, a profession or an activity, with the goal of receiving a financial benefit in exchange for the provision of services, goods or other property.
   (B)   “City Clerk” or “Clerk” means the Unalaska City Clerk or his or her designee.
   (C)   “City Manager” or “Manager” means the Unalaska City Manager or his or her designee.
   (D)    “Engage in business” means to operate or to conduct a business as an owner or operator of an enterprise or, as an owner, to employ, induce or otherwise procure another person to operate or conduct the enterprise.
   (E)   “Investment club” means a group of individuals, an association or other entity, however organized, that engages primarily in investing in securities (as defined in AS 45.55.990), and where the group does not sell investment services to others and does not advertise, and where the primary purpose of the group is educational and is not an investment advisory business (as defined in AS 45.55.990).
   (F)   “Licensee” means a person who has applied for and been issued a business license by the City.
   (G)   “Nonprofit organization” means a nonprofit, charitable organization as described in Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.
   (H)   “Person” means any natural person or any corporation, limited liability company, partnership, limited partnership, or any other legal entity.
    (I)    “Temporary business” is a business or enterprise that is to be carried on in the City for a period of less than forty-five (45) days per calendar year.
