§ 3.52.160 DISABILITY LEAVE/FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE.
   (A)   An eligible employee shall be granted leave during periods of non-occupational disability, or other medical condition of the employee or eligible members of the employee’s family, consistent with applicable federal and state statutes and regulations regarding Family and Medical Leave, if a certified medical professional certifies that the employee’s, or eligible family member’s, condition prohibits a return to work.
   (B)   Upon return to work, the employee will be restored to the previous departmental classification without loss of seniority, upon the city’s verification of a written release to work of a certified medical professional.
   (C)   Disability leave shall be charged first to personal leave and then to leave without pay for the balance of the disability period.
