All regular full-time employees are required to participate in the State of Alaska Public Employees Retirement System. The city will contribute an amount as determined by the state's retirement actuaries. All regular full-time employees and regular part-time employees, who work at least thirty hours per week must enroll immediately upon accepting employment with the city.
