§ 3.16.050 STATUS OF INCUMBENTS IN RECLASSIFIED POSITIONS.
   In all cases of reclassification, the employee who held the position before it was reclassified shall be entitled to remain in the position if the employee meets the minimum qualifications for the reclassified position. If the incumbent does not meet the minimum qualifications for the reclassified position the city may provide a reasonable opportunity for the incumbent to qualify for the reclassified position. If the incumbent fails to meet the qualifications for the reclassified position and is not transferred, promoted or demoted, the provisions of the personnel policy regarding separation shall apply.
