Any minor who violates Section 5-2-1 of this Chapter may be taken into temporary custody by a peace officer. As soon as practicable after the minor is taken into custody, the peace officer shall notify the minor's parent, guardian or other person responsible for the minor and release the minor to the custody of the minor's parent, guardian or other person responsible for the minor.
