Any customer desiring to discontinue service shall notify the superintendent in writing of such fact at least ten (10) days before the customer desires to discontinue the service. To the extent possible, the superintendent shall ensure that the water service is shut off on the date requested by the customer. The customer shall be not responsible for water bills incurred after the water is shut off unless the customer turns the water back on or allows another to turn the water back on. Within thirty (30) days after the water is shut off, the city will refund any money that the city has on the customer's account. (Ord. 168-03, 11-11-2003)
