A. Prohibited Use When Secondary Water Exists: It shall be unlawful for any person to use water from the system for sprinkling or irrigation purposes when there is a source of secondary water which is reasonably available to the person for that purpose.
B. Authorized Use Limited: In instances when persons are authorized to use the water in the system for sprinkling or irrigation purposes, no person shall use such number of sprinklers or other outlets simultaneously as will, in the opinion of the superintendent, materially affect the pressure or supply of water in the system or any part thereof. The city council may, from time to time, establish by resolution the number of outlets which shall be presumed to have this effect. The department shall notify owners who violate this subsection of the violation and order such use discontinued. Failure to discontinue the use after notice may be grounds for shutting off the water service. (Ord. 168-03, 11-11-2003)
