5-3-2: BRIDGE SAFETY:
   A.   Purpose: The purpose of this section is to ensure safety of individuals, both as pedestrians and as the drivers of automobiles, while on or using the bridges within the city.
   B.   Bridge Defined: "Bridge" means the structure spanning and permitting passage over the Weber River on 6600 South in the city.
   C.   Administration And Enforcement:
      1.   Responsible Agency: The responsible agency is the city council.
      2.   Enforcement Agency: The enforcement agency includes Weber County sheriff's office, or any other police officer, law enforcement official or other county officer in connection with his duties imposed by law.
   D.   Prohibited Activities:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person to dive, jump or otherwise remove himself from the top or side of a bridge in the city.
      2.   It shall be unlawful for any person to stand, fish, linger, loiter or remain on a bridge in the city, unless otherwise designated. This shall not prohibit an individual from using the bridge to walk from one side to the other.
   E.   Penalty: Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor and shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 207-12, 6-19-2012)
