541.08  POSTING OF NOTICES ON PUBLIC LANDS.
   (a)   No person shall display or affix, regardless of method any poster, advertising, sign, card or device of any type or character to or upon any shade tree, post, utility pole, ornamental shrubbery or the land and/or its improvements in and along the public streets or other public property or public right of way.  Those signs now existing are excluded from the force and effect of this section, but shall not be replaced.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
