145.04  POLICE EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORM FUND.
   (a)   The Auditor is hereby directed and authorized to establish the Police Uniform and Equipment Fund pursuant to Ohio R.C. 5705.12.
   (b)   All income generated by services performed by the Police Department shall be paid and deposited into the Police Uniform and Equipment Fund, such as:  Special details, escorts, donations, court subpoena fees, copy fees for police reports, fees for holding prisoners for other courts (60% of the fee goes to the City's general fund - only 40% will go to the special fund), any money from auction of unclaimed property and any unclaimed money.
   (c)   Such moneys so deposited, as set forth in subsection (b) hereof, are hereby appropriated annually and shall be used for the purchase of clothing and uniforms and equipment for the members of the Police Department, over and above the annual allowances heretofore or hereafter provided for each member by separate ordinance.
   (d)   The expenditures from such fund shall be under the direction of the Director of Public Safety and Council as provided by law.
   (e)   The auditor shall be and hereby is authorized to make provisions for the transfer of moneys herein designated to such fund on the passage and approval of this section.
