The Director of Law, in addition to the other duties enumerated in the Ohio Revised Code and pursuant to Ohio Law, continues to be required and is required to represent the City in complaints, suits and controversies in which the City is a party, including misdemeanor criminal cases arising within the City. Council restates that this duty continues unabated and that the elected Law Director is required to prosecute misdemeanor criminal cases arising within the City.
