(a) Whenever a rental unit becomes vacant, the owner, agent, or person in charge shall file a written notice with the Mayor and Building Inspector stating the unit or property is vacant. The notice of vacancy and request for inspection shall include the following information:
(1) Name of person requesting the inspection;
(2) The address of the person requesting the inspection;
(3) The address of the dwelling to be inspected;
(4) The connection of the person filing the request to the property to be inspected (owner, agent, person in charge, etc.);
(5) The date of the request;
(6) The date of the latest inspection (if any) of the property.
(b) An application for a Certification of Occupancy shall be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each dwelling or property. Five dollars ($5.00) for the second inspection of the dwelling, and no charge for any other inspection of the same property within a twelve month period.
(c) Any dwellings of more than five units or rooming units shall pay a fee of two dollars ($2.00) for each unit in excess of five.
