(a) A violation of any section of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each violation committed hereunder; and a further sum of twenty dollars ($20.00) for each and every day such failure to comply continues beyond the date fixed for compliance. Each separate day shall constitute a separate violation.
(b) Where the defendant is other than a natural person or persons, this chapter shall also apply to any agent, superintendent, officer, member, partner or mortgagor who shall alone or with others have charge, care, or control of the premises. This chapter applies to both tenants and landlords.
