131.01  CLERK.
   (a)   A clerk shall be provided for the Mayor of this City and the person employed as such shall be known as the Clerk of the Mayor of the City.
   (b)   The salary of such Clerk shall be as provided by Council from time to time payable at regular biweekly pay periods.
   (c)   The Mayor's Clerk shall have the following qualifications, responsibilities and duties:
      (1)   Type letters, forms, policies and reports for the Mayor.
      (2)   Maintain a regular filing system for all reports, letters and correspondence.
      (3)   Process incoming mail and correspondence as directed.
      (4)   Take phone messages and arrange appointments for the Mayor.
      (5)   Courteously listen to complaints of the public regarding the City and refers those complaints that need an answer to the Mayor.
      (6)   Issue city permits, soliciting permits and excavation bonds.
      (7)   Act as the clerk of the City Court.
      (8)   Collect and receipt fines imposed by the Mayor.
      (9)   Collect all outstanding fines and issues warrants.
      (10)   Filing and typing for the Police Department.
      (11)   Keep the financial books for the Mayor's office and the Court.
      (12)   Act as clerk of the Board of Control.
      (13)   Act as clerk for the bicycle auctions.
      (14)   Answer telephones and radios in case of emergencies.
      (15)   Any other duties as directed by the Mayor.
   (d)   The Mayor's Clerk shall be employed five hours per week, twelve months per year, the hours to be scheduled by the Mayor.
