121.11  CLERK OF COUNCIL.
   (a)   The salary of the Clerk of Council shall be as provided by Council from time to time.
   (b)   The Clerk of Council shall be appointed by the majority vote of all members elected to Council.  Such person may be removed from office by the majority vote of all members elected to Council and shall serve in such capacity at the pleasure of Council.

   (c)   The Clerk of Council, in addition to his or her duties for Council, shall maintain public office hours each week for the purposes of permitting members of the public to file complaints or seek information regarding the powers and duties of Council.

   (d)   The duties of the Clerk of Council shall be as follows:
      (1)   Attend all regular and special Council meetings.
      (2)   Assist all committees in carrying out the business of the City.
      (3)   See that all ordinances and necessary resolutions are published according to law and entered in the ordinance book of the City.
      (4)   Handle all correspondence.
      (5)   Do research for Council members when requested.
