The purpose of this chapter is to establish policies, regulations and standards necessary to ensure that the city will continue to realize the benefits of the community forest. The provisions of this chapter are enacted to help coordinate maintenance of public trees; emphasize use of good tree care practices and promote tree diversity; promote education for all citizens on proper tree care practices; and provide guidance to the tree commission.
