6-1-3: TEMPORARY LANDING STRIPS:
   A.   Definition: "Emergency situation" is defined as aircraft engine failure and/or pilot is unable to continue flight.
   B.   Restrictions: The use of any roadway subject to the jurisdiction and control of the Twin Falls, Murtaugh, Filer and Buhl Highway Districts for the landing and taking off of any aircraft, other than in an emergency situation, is prohibited.
   C.   Hazardous To Vehicle Travel: The use of Twin Falls, Murtaugh, Filer and Buhl Highway Districts' roadways as temporary landing strips is hereby declared to be a hazard to any person using said roadways for vehicle travel.
   D.   Chemical Spills: The possibility of chemical spills along roadways is both dangerous to travelers and environmentally detrimental. (Ord. 115, 10-28-1991)
   E.   Penalties:
      1.   Violation of the terms and conditions hereof shall constitute a misdemeanor and any person in violation hereof shall be punished by a fine as provided in Section 1-4-1 of this Code.
      2.   Each landing or takeoff shall be considered a separate offense. (Ord. 115, 10-28-1991; amd. 1996 Code)
