5-6-9: NUISANCE BEHAVIOR IN PARKS:
   A.   Public Nuisances: Any person who owns, possesses, has custody of, or harbors any animal, and wilfully or negligently fails to prevent such animal from becoming a public nuisance within the boundaries of Twin Falls County parks shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. A nuisance includes, but is not limited to, the following:
      1.   Running at large (as defined in section 5-6-1 of this chapter);
      2.   Lack of restraint by an adequate leash not to exceed ten feet (10') in length, secured by a competent person;
      3.   Molesting park visitors;
      4.   Defecating within county park boundaries when the defecation is not immediately removed by the handler of the animal;
      5.   Urinating upon county park fixtures or upon flowers, shrubs or trees;
      6.   Attacking, worrying, wounding, or killing other animals;
      7.   Frequent, continuous, or untimely barking.
   B.   Working Or Show Dogs, Exception: A working or show dog performing activities such as herding, hunting, obedience, or tracking shall not be considered unleashed while performing in such capacities under the control and supervision of its handler.
   C.   Penalty: Penalty for conviction of the owner or person in possession of such offending animal shall be as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 124; amd. 1996 Code)
