Every dog shall be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian with anti rabies vaccine by the time any dog reaches the age of six (6) months and every three (3) years thereafter on the anniversary date on the first vaccination; provided, that the vaccination used is of the chick embryo type. Otherwise the dog must be inoculated annually. Upon the vaccination, the veterinarian shall issue to the owner a certificate or tag showing the date of vaccination and said rabies tag must be affixed to the collar of the dog and worn at all times.
