For the purpose of this chapter the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
“ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.” Any person engaged in the business of installing or altering by contract, electrical equipment for the utilization of electricity for light, heat, or power, not including radio apparatus or equipment for wireless reception of sounds and not including apparatus, conductors, and other equipment installed for or by public utilities, including common carriers, under the jurisdiction of the state Commerce Commission for use in operation as public utilities.
