The Mayor is authorized to be the Local Liquor Control Commissioner and shall be charged with the city administration of the Dram Shop Act, S.H.A. Ch. 43 and of such ordinances and regulations relating to alcoholic liquor. The Mayor may appoint a person to assist in the exercise of the powers and performance of the duties provided for such Local Liquor Control Commissioner. The specification in this chapter of certain powers and authority of the Local Liquor Control Commissioner shall not be construed as a limitation of other such power and authority provided by law, rule, or otherwise.
