§ 33.17 SUMMONING ASSISTANCE.
   The Mayor, Chief of Police, or any police officer shall have power to summon as many persons to their assistance as may be necessary to execute any process they may have in their hands, or to enforce the laws and ordinances of the city. Any police officer of the city shall have the power to call upon any male person over the age of 18 to aid him in the arrest, retaking or taking into custody of any person having committed any unlawful act, or to aid in preventing the commission of an unlawful act. Whoever shall neglect or refuse to give such aid or assistance as aforesaid when so requested by any officer shall be subject to penalty as provided in § 10.99.
