(A) The Chief of Police shall have the general supervision and control of the police of the city, subject to any and all orders of the Mayor and City Council. (‘69 Code, § 21-2)
(B) The Chief of Police shall inform himself of the provisions of this code and all ordinances concerning his powers and duties and concerning violations and penalties so that he may at all times exercise reasonable prudence and discretion in the performance of his duties. (‘69 Code, § 21-3)
(C) The Chief of Police shall devote all his time to the duties of his office, shall attend all meetings of the City Council, serve all orders of the City Council, the Mayor, and the Board of Health. (‘69 Code, § 21-1)
(D) The Chief of Police shall at all times while on duty wear such uniform as prescribed by the City Council. (‘69 Code, § 21-4)
